"I always worry," said Livingstone, "that these elite groups [of police] end up with a much more paramilitary approach to policing, a much more proactive 'go in and sort it out', than the traditional bobby that's on the beat."

This from the man who praised the 'elite' paramilitary police officers involved in the shooting of Jean Charles de Menezes.
